 | You scored as Sailor Jupiter. You\'re just awesome. Powerful lightning attacks, strong-willed, and a great morale booster. You are very good at cooking and like the colour green.

Yup. Today is the day to come see the big Chinese American Society event. Its a really goooooooood show. Come support me as I star as a pair of legs! w00t! Just kidding, especially support everyone else, there are other acts in the show way cooler as well, so come see it. 3pm. IT'S FREEEEEEEEE. Donaldson Brown Hotel and Alumni Center. Now for one more show run through bright and early before it starts. | | Tuesday, April 19th, 2005 | | 8:32 am |
yeah so i dropped most of the acts I was in for Chinabration because I couldn't handle the short mental breakdown I had from 4-hour rehearsals on top of school work. So now I'm down to 1 short act (as opposed to 3), where you can't even see me on stage because I'm covered in all black. lol. Current Mood: relieved | | Tuesday, April 12th, 2005 | | 2:42 pm |
DaYmArEs aghhhh
I never remember my dreams so I'll post this one. I had this nightmare today that I was in a newly opened hotel room and somehow word got out that there was this killer gang on the loose within the building. One of the hotel managers came into my room I told her to hide and we both grabbed knives to keep from getting stabbed by the killers. I was on a bunk bed hiding for some reason in this hotel room. It really looked more like a dorm room. When the killers walked up tp the door I woke up in another nightmare- I was just floating in a pond of blood- I flipped out some more then woke up for reaaaal. Freaked me out though. oh well, back to napping. Current Mood: scared | | Monday, April 4th, 2005 | | 12:35 pm |
1. Grab the nearest book. 2. Open the book to page 123. 3. Find the fifth sentence. 4. Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions. 5. Don't search around and look for the "coolest" book you can find. Do what's actually next to you. Last night I did volunteer work serving drinks and busing tables at the Mardi Gras Ball from 5pm 'til about 12:30am. It was a charity event for Habitats for Humanities. It was mostly old people and faculty that attended since it was $75 a head. Even Scott Poole, Kathryn Albright, and Michael Erwin, my professors from Summer Studio were there. It was amusing seeing them drunk off wine. After the servers did a few hours of work we all got free dinner. A caricature artist was there too for the event. She made free caricatures for the volunteer staff. She made one for me at the time and told me I reminded her of Sara Brighton, an opera singer, which was I thought was really funny. During the silent auction, we made over $500 and there was an anonymous donation of $1000, so in addition to what we earned from 80 guests, it was an overall good charity event. | | Saturday, January 29th, 2005 | | 12:18 pm |
Yesterday in Architecture studio I was finishing up the project I was working on before class started. I was supposed to present and I had one rendered drawing that took about 7 hours, then out of nowhere I decided to pull a drawing out of my ass that took 5 minutes. Guess which one my professor liked better?- yes, the slack-ass one that took the least time was the most effective in my presentation. lol. She assigned us 2 papers to write over the weekend. After wards I went to the Kurabu Nippon club meeting. There were 23 people there, lots of new members. Well see if they stick around. Yamagami Sensei came too to promote a travel abroad program in Japan for this summer. (If anyone is interested I have information packets.) After we had Japanese curry rice, my friends and I played Karaoke Revolution 3- its awesome, you can sing in duets- that's where Dan tried too mess me up a lot. Guess you had to have been there to see how funny it was. Then a few members went with me to Deets, which was fun. As for today, I was supposed to go to work on building for Habitat for Humanities. It was unfortunately canceled. However, now I'm going to the under-belt Demo Team meeting. I hope I will get to join, choreographed fighting sounds like an awesome new hobby to get involved in. | | Sunday, January 9th, 2005 | | 2:10 am |
Yay for a day with Granny! :D
I got to go to the Albrecht Durer exhibition in the Museum of Fine Arts with my grand mom. He was a well-known artist in history who made several woodblocks and dry-mark/etched copper plates for printing in the German Renaissance. It was awesome, and it was even the last day for the exhibition. I was so astonished by the 80 prints that were over 500 years old. The details were so incredibly precise in his original prints. I had no idea lines could get so fine, that even I needed a magnifying glass to see certain segments of the 14"x16" pictures he made. And every print had a fascinating narration behind it. The details were so exquisite that they seemed very majestic. Here is a picture of one of his best works, St. Jerome in his Study, but the image does absolutely no justice for the original. Anyway, I was really glad I did get to see my grand mom cheerful, since she often seems worried or cynical about a lot. This was definitely a red letter day :) | | Tuesday, October 26th, 2004 | | 4:53 pm |
Happy Back to the Future Day Mary!
I haven't posted in a while because I'm rediculously busy:-\. However, I thought I would wish my friend Mary W. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! Hope you have a great one Mary! | | Tuesday, September 14th, 2004 | | 7:59 am |
Yes, I am actually alive :-P
I have been overwhelmed with a lot of school work and organizations that have taken place, particularly in Architecture. Who would have guessed?:) I had 9 (2'x3') drawings to do in a week, where I spent too much time on the first 3. I did accomplish to finish them mostly Sunday even though we had a fire alarm in Cowgill, which was aggravating, yet pretty funny since it was one of the newer alarm systems. It had a voice that said "Atention! Attention! an emergency has been reported. Do not use the elevators." If I were asleep in my dorm and that went off I would have burned from sleeping thru it. lol Aside from that I just want to let people know I'm still here and doing fine. I know I have been really bad about keeping in touch with people, but hey I've got lots of schoolwork, and yes my grades and obligations to clubs have to come before friends sometimes (sorry I'm OCD :-P). Today I start tutoring for Japanese with other Kurabu Nippon members. I'm glad. It will help me get back on track where I left off in the language. Well, hopefully this weekend I won't have too much homework from lab. I'm sorta falling behind in other classes I would like to catch up with, and I'm going home this weekend. Yay! Hopefully, I'll get to see my super duper friend, April, in Richmond before she moves to North Carolina forever and ever and ever. *sad* | | Friday, July 23rd, 2004 | | 2:08 am |
Everybody's leavin me :(
Today I realized my passport was misplaced or lost forever which made me so disoriented before class today. I could'nt go to the gym today or owen's. So anyway, my friend Aki invited me over for dinner, which was fun. (She's leaving in 2 days to San Diego *tear*. At any rate I am still happy for her since she thought she may never hear back from any of the Industrial Designer jobs this summer. ) Dan, Mizuho, and Torance were there too. Torance just got back from Japan and showed us pictures and brought back souvenirs (tonari no Totoro for me :-D). I was upset to find out, however, that 2 other people I know are moving away. Torance is leaving for the Marines for 2 years, and Laura is not attending Tech this year :(. I didn't find this out until tonight. Laura, why didn't you mention it? Kurabu Nippon won't be the same without you all. I love you guys!!!!!!!!!!Good luck in everything! | | Thursday, July 15th, 2004 | | 9:58 pm |
